Starlight is a Native American woman who rejected the notion that women should be content with a life of cooking and cleaning for men.

Longing to hunt like the men of her tribe, she decides to break the norm and becomes the warrior maiden, Starlight.

She first appeared in the year 1950, becoming the first Indigenous comic book superhero.
